Our neighbor across the street has a HUGE iris garden. It is beautiful, especially this time of year. Steven and I ventured over to take a few pictures. Here are some to give you an idea of how big the place is:
Those were taken from the same spot on the sidewalk, just looking opposite directions. It's almost a field of Irises. Here most are blooming, today when we drove past I think they are all in bloom and they are so beautiful! He is such a tender gardener and is out there all year round checking on them.
Here are some close ups we took. All of these have been edited. I was really impressed with how some of them turned out. I feel like I'm finally beginning to understand our camera better and take better pictures.
Steven took this one. Isn't it amazing?! I only "auto" edited it - seriously it needed no further enhancing. I believe this flower is called Juniper's Beard (and I only know that because my mom has tons in her gardens).
Some close ups of poppies? I really don't know what kind of flower this is. Anyone?
So the sun was low in the sky and positioned right behind this iris. Made for some awecome pictures. I really like the one below. Will most likely be framed on our mantel soon. :-) Steven's favorite of the iris is the one above. What do you think? We'll call the top one A, and bottom B - cast your vote in the comments and maybe the one that wins will end up in a frame!
