Oh how I love the sun! And did this weekend deliver, so beautiful. I love watching all the flowers in my garden come up and say "hello, spring!" after their long winter nap. Green is in season! Thank you Jesus for the season of spring and the wonderful beauty of new life it brings.
Friday, friends we knew from WSU come down from Spokane to stay the night with us. Add in a couple more friends from WSU and it was a par-tay. I have never had so much fun playing Balderdash! If you've never played, here's the short version: words, people's names, laws, movie titles, etc are read aloud and everyone makes up their own definition, description, ending or plot line. It got kind of ridiculous. Some of the best of the night:
"In Florida, it is illegal to pass...by a Jewish Barmitzfah and not pay $5." (authored by Steven)
"Mr. Peter's Pets (movie title): A story about Mr. Peter's pets who exchange their identities for new ones and then go on a journey to Ohio." or something like that...I don't remember Dusty's exact words.
"Antone Faber (I made that up b/c I don't remember the real name)....co-wrote the song 'Yes, We Have No Bananas'" What?!? And that one was the real answer!
Today we ended up taking the dogs to the park with the RC car and meeting some other friends there with their three boys. The girls chased the car around and we got lots of attention. I didn't take pictures this time, but last weekend we also went and I got some good shots. I'll have to post them soon (when I have time, I don't know).
