Last Saturday I went down to P-town for yummy jam makin' time with the fam! Do you know what 25 pounds of strawberries make? Over 30 cups of freezer jam and almost 24 jars of cooked jam! Plus some left over. Wowza! Sha-nay-nay (Aunt Shannon) also went and lovingly picked raspberries for over an hour so we could make some yummy raspberry jam as well (ended up with almost 20 jars of those bad boys). All in all, very successful! Oh, did I mention we also got 10 pounds of pie cherries and pitted enough cherries to freeze to make 5 pies? I guess you could say we were busy! Yay for pie cherries! And no more discolored store bought filling. I can't wait until Thanksgiving to make my first cherry pie. So good!
