This one's for Vincent

So...this summer our friend Vincent came to visit and we went to the beach and hiking and all sorts of fun stuff.  While at the beach, my sister Kelly played a trick on Vincent (involving snipe hunting), which ended up with Vincent crawling down the beach in the middle of the night making "snipe" sounds and playing the fool.  Recently, as many of you know, Steven and I got to go to China and see Vincent.  While shopping at a market in China, Vincent got really excited about this small clay, naked little boy.  Not knowing what it was, Vincent bought two for us to bring back to the states....well, later that day we saw this clay figurine's, uh, talent in the hotel room.  Vincent got on Facebook and told Kelly all about how he was sending this cool figurine back with us.  He also told her it grows hair.  Um, kind of like how Kelly told Vincent he could catch a snipe by lying on his belly and jumping up and tackling them - totally not true!

After Thanksgiving, we had the girls over to our place and set up the scene.  Steven dunked our little clay friend in hot water and then cold water so he could, er, "fill up."  Then put him on a plate so the girls could see....

Steven then told the girls he was going to pour boiling water over the boy figurine and it would grow hair. But they had to get close so they wouldn't miss seeing it, because unlike a Chia Pet, it grows really fast and is really fine so it's hard to see unless you are right there....

Well, if you haven't guessed already - it doesn't grow hair.  No, no.  Just watch....err, look at the next picture....

Can you see the stream of water flying through the air and hitting Katie (right in the mouth! Score!)?  Yes, this clay figurine "pees" water at least 10 feet.  It is impressive.  And the girls weren't expecting it at all.  Unfortunately, Kelly was a tad smarter and stood behind Katie thus being able to remove herself from the situation quickly.  Too bad, since this was really meant to get her back.

However, she does still have a message for Vincent....
