Mystery Macro Monday

Ok - I'm going to try something new!  Aren't you excited (all 5 of you who actually read this)???  I was verbally processing with Steven about how to create more traffic and intrigue on my blog while upping my photog skills.  My brilliant idea?  Start a weekly contest thingy.  However, I don't really have the time to sort through pictures - but I do have time to read comments!  And thus, Mystery Macro Monday was born.  I know - alliteration is a little cheezy.  But hey, gotta start somewhere!

My goal is to post (or schedule a post - love this feature!) every Monday with a mystery photo.  Then, all you faithful followers, get to guess as to what is the actual object in the mystery photo.  If you guess correctly, your name will go into a random drawing for a prize.  Wait, let me say that again.  If you guess correctly, your name will go into a random drawing for free stuff!!  Yeah!  I will probably have a winner each month to start out and see how it goes.  So if you guess correctly every week, that's at least four entries (five depending on the month) that you get for that month!  And then at the end of the month - so January will be a short month - I'll draw for the winner.  The posts will go up by Monday and you have until Wednesday at midnight to guess.  Any entries after that won't count.  Oh - and I turned on the moderator for the comments so you can't see what others guess.  So when you comment doesn't show up, don't worry!  I can still see it.  Then, after the guessing closes I'll approve them all so you can see what others thought.  Get it?  Got it? Good!  Let's go...

Here's the first entry.  Just to let you know, I'm not going to make this easy!  Have fun and guess well my friends.  I'll post the answer on Thursday and let you know who guesses correctly. *You can click on the image to make it bigger*
