Soooo hard to get out of bed this morning! Anyone else feeling my Monday pain? Seven days of work left. Seven days! These past few weeks have flown by so fast and it feels like the speed of things are continuing to pick up, not slow down. Or even be steady. Let's have just be steady for a few days, OK? That would be nice.
This weekend we had friends over from small group and they helped up tear up carpet and vinyl in our basement and paint. Wow, we got a lot done in the 5 hours they were here. The bathroom downstairs is getting a face lift as well. I'll be sure to post some pictures of the final product, I'm terrible at remembering about before pictures...oh well! Maybe I already have some somewhere. It was such a blessing to have extra hands helping us! We have awesome friends. :-)
Steven and I are also taking Perspectives. It's a college level course on missions...and it's a lot of reading! We are only taking it for certificate level, but it's more homework and reading than I was prepared for. And those of you who know me know that homework's my favorite. ;-) The blessing is that it's incredibly encouraging and life giving, even if it is a lot of work. The material and speakers are relevant and I feel I have a much clearer, more Biblical view of God's heart for the world...and it's only week 5! I'm excited to have work over so I can focus more energy on my Perspectives homework.
Alright, happy Monday ya'll! Yup, I said ya'll...
Hopefully in the next few months I can keep this blog updated while taking Perspectives, finishing remodeling the downstairs, moving out (April 1st), and continuing to see God change our lives every four weeks.
These are exciting (and ever changing) times!
