Balloon Rally

Last weekend, I headed down to Prosser bright and early Saturday morning to catch a glimpse and get some great pictures (I was hoping) of the Prosser Balloon Rally.  A tradition in our family to get up early, watch the balloons take off at the airport and then chase them all over town in hopes of getting to go up once we caught one!  Well, bright and early it was as I picked up Kristen and then went and got Kelly, Katie and Katie's friend (at 6:30am) and we headed down to the airport.  We got there just in time to see the balloons.  A great photo opportunity!  It was so much fun to take pictures and walk around watching the beautiful balloons as the sun was rising.  After we ran over to the river, everyone was ready to go home.  No chasing this year.  I'll never forget three years ago when I got to go up in a balloon - breathtaking!  We could see over the hills and into Oregon.  It was so cool (Kristen was with me and she's very afraid of heights, so I think the cool factor for her was a bit lower).  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.  Enjoy!

I love all the vibrant colors of the balloon rally. Especially the red coca-cola balloon against the blue sky. Beautiful. :)
