Um, hello? A month hiatus! Does anyone still read this? Holy moly - I can't believe I haven't blogged in one month! Do I have to say I have been busy? I don't even remember everything that has happened between then and now. I'll start with now because remembering then is thinking and, well, I'm not into thinking right at this second.
Right now I am just finishing off a glass of wine and watching Netflix. Steven has class until 7:45, so I have the evening to myself. And, for the first time in a month I'm home on a Tuesday night to enjoy it! (oh, that's what I've been doing - working, a lot) What am I watching? A documentary called "Babies" that follows four babies from around the world - Africa, Japan, China & the US. Although I think I am going to change it to 30 Rock (my new fav TV show - thanks, Netflix!) because there is no commentary & it's sort of boring. And 30 Rock rocks. Although I do have to say that watching the mom from Africa (Namibia to be exact) wipe her baby's bottom on her knee was really impressive. I then proceeded to watch her baby eat dried cow poop & he is now drinking from a small stream. Face first. Crazy. And they "one up" the split pants of China by having no pants. Alright, moving on...
In other news (sorry, you will have to watch the rest of documentary for yourself):
- I'm sad that Lauren Alaina did NOT win American Idol. What is up with that? I had her pegged to win from the beginning and thought she was going to take it all the way. Nope. Here comes Scotty with his same-old, same-old lame song choices & snatches the crown. He's talented - don't get me wrong. I just think Lauren is more talented & relevant. Just sayin'.
- I've been able to do some photo sessions for some friends and my sista'. I blogged about Kelly's photo shoot here. That is by far my best yet & I love the images that resulted from it. We found this incredible alley with the most beautiful light ever - *sigh* took my breath away. In just over a week we are flying to Indiana to attend my brother-in-laws wedding. I am the "wedding photographer" (my second!). I'm excited. Except for the fact that the wedding is at noon...outside. Hmmm...direct sunlight. I can work with that!
- Work is crazy. But Friday is my last day - yay! Although that is deceiving because I have to go into work a few days next week. Not for long though, so it really doesn't count...
- Dim Sum or Happy Hour at PF Changs is amazing (4-6 on weekdays). I checked it out with my mom in Spokane last Thursday. We were up there for her one week follow up to possibly her last surgery dealing with her cancer diagnoses over a year ago - yay again! If you go to PF Changs during Dim Sum time, please try the Chicken Lemongrass dumplings. Superb.
- I'm trying something new by painting my nails. A nude shimmery color. Hopefully I will not bite them & they can grow. Or not. Only time will tell...
- Monday is my birthday. That day I am most definitely NOT working! I'm considering treating myself to a mani/pedi. Any suggestions for places to go in TC? I NEVER do this (why am I capitalizing all the letters of negative words?), so I need some suggestions. Thanks in advance.
- And lastly, I realized that I missed the June edition of Mystery Macro. Flip! So, I'm making next week a special birthday edition in lieu of the first Monday (I really planned it that way, really).

Jess, try the place on Gage... right across from Bonefish. They do a great job and a pedi is only $20! I think a manicure might be $15? $25? I don't remember. Anyway, have a great time!!! And Happy early Birthday!! :D
Chris and I watched that documentary. I thought the corncob was pretty inventive as a "wipe"!
I'm glad you're back! I love you!
And I'll def go with you for a birthday present! :)
