Mystery Macro Monday -- September

Here we are - the first Monday of the month again and ready for another great Mystery Macro!  I know I'm excited (and hopefully you are too).  I really like this month's entry - back to a more artistic approach.  This is one of Steven's macro shots and he is really good at macro.  I gotta give credit where credit is due.  And you only get one hint this month.  Ready?  It's alive.  Yup, a living creature (for some reason after typing "it's alive" I wanted to follow with a muahahaha...but as you can tell, I totally refrained).

Whoever guesses correctly for just this post will get entered into a random drawing for a prize (based on order of correct guesses in the comments section)!  You all have until Friday at midnight to guess what the object is in the picture.  The prize this month is cute and fun and comes from a land far away!  I'll tell you more about it when I reveal the answer this weekend.  Good luck and have fun guessing!
