So I was really going to post about the aqarium again...but figured you all needed more of a glimpse into our lives not through the eyes of the fish we have. So here it is! I can't share everything that has been going on lately, but just some tid bits of why almost every night I've come home and wanted to sleep and cry at the same time!
First off, Steven is going back to school for his Masters in Business Administration (I would've just put MBA, but you would be surprised how many people don't know what that is!). He takes class Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 to 7:00 just down the street at WSU Tri Cities. And he is still working a 40 hour week. In fact, he takes time off work to do homework. It has happened twice in the last two weeks now...I'm ready for this semester to be over! And I know he is too.
At my work right now we are gearing up for our HUGE End of Year Celebration. This year we are sporting the Hollywood theme and it is going to be off the charts spectacular! Every year we over do the previous year. In fact, if you want to check out pics from last year, follow this link. (never mind -- not posted online anymore) Right now I am working on music for our awards portion and I'm about ready to throw in the towel. In year's past, I've just run a couple of songs and had them loop. The guy who runs the soundbooth and lights for us (and is a saint), never said anything about matching the music to the script with cues. Well, this year I think him and another lady we're planning this with are in cohorts...because they have both brought it up many, many times! Grrr...anyways, so I'm working on that. This event is big, about 300 attend and it's an hour long program with recognition and awards given to all staff, parents and community members who work with school, family & community partnerships. Plus, business partners (PEAK!) who contribute to our schools. It's fun, but a lot of work and this week I've been feelin' it.
Other random thing that has been frustrating me lately is Coco. She so doesn't listen -- EVER! I went to the park with her and Nala yesterday and as soon as I open the back of the Subaru, Coco is off like a rocket. It took me 15 minutes to catch her! Although, I wasn't actively trying to catch her for the first 10 because Nala really wanted to play fetch and Coco was at least within eye shot. But then after she chased a couple walking, ran into the parking lot, got barked at by a much bigger dog and proceeded to run into the middle of six year olds practicing soccer, she got put in time out in the car. Not that she even knew she was in trouble. This summer we definitely have to do obedience school with her -- or she's never going to the park again!
Wow, that felt kind of good to vent about Coco. Good thing she's cute...

OH Coco! :) You want to read the book we have by the Dog Whisperer? It teaches you how to be a calm assertive leader. Seems to work pretty well with Tinkerbell when we remember to be calm, not mad! haha
