One of the reasons I was so busy last week was because I was in the midst of planning a surprise party for my mom. It was a whirlwind putting the party together and, I have to say, it turned out fabulous with family and friends coming to celebrate her 50 years thus far! Even though she caught wind of it that day, it was such a blessing to bless her and see how excited she was to see everyone there. Family came from out of town (one aunt drove from Anacortes!), and many brought cards and sweet gifts to celebrate my awesome mom. A HUGE "thank you" to Aunt Patricia and Uncle George who graciously let us stage the surprise at their winery. They also supplied super delicious smoked meats, cheeses and wine. Yum!

The book I put together with help from aunts, friends, family & the sisters. I'll post more about this book at a later time. It took over three months of collecting, scanning and emailing to get it put together -- but it was worth it! Look at how much she loved it!
Everyone got a kick out of the book. Many of those who came contributed notes to my mom and pictures.
