Purchasing new software (or in our current state, practicing with the 30 day free trial) is fun, exciting and inspiring! Right? I get so excited about new software. I think of all the amazing things it can create and how I will love stretching my creative brain cells. Opening the program my fingers are full of anticipation and delight. The screen pops up, clean, crisp and fresh! I gaze at it in wonder taking in the possibilities. Then I think "what is a frame?" and "how do I create a colored background?" The creative juices slowly seep away into the recesses of my brain as I begrundingly open my internet browser and search "getting started with InDesign." Sigh. It has been a long night.
