So we are packing, packing, packing tonight. I bet you can't guess what's in my suitcase? Having friends overseas means when we come visit we bring American goodies! Like...good coffee (two 3lb bags from Costco to be exact), canned pumpkin, powdered coffee creamer, chocolate chips, french fried onions, toffee baking chips, swedish fish and a partridge in a pear tree. Ok, we really don't have a patridge or a pear tree to bring over - they wouldn't fit anyway. Not to mention numerous books, letters, pictures and other odds and ends family members mailed to us to bring over (measuring cups? really?). We love bringing stuff in. When we over there it was like Christmas when visitors brought us remnants of home. Especially good coffee. Yum!
Laundry is done, bills are paid, dogs are at the sitter (thanks, John and Jessica!) and right now Steven is calling me to come and finally put stuff in the suitcase. Wish us luck! We already have one duffel weighing 46lbs. Oh, and here's a really cool gadget we picked up which has made packing for this trip soooo much easier. It's called an eScale and is literally a handle with a hook that you use to pick up your bag and it tells you how much it weighs!! Genius! No more using the bathroom scale and stepping on and off to get semi-accurate weight. Best part - it comes with us and totally negates the guess work on the way home. I think I'm in love already. :-)
One bummer - I've had a book on hold at the library for 3 weeks. I was waiting for it to come available for our trip. Well guess what? It is available for pick up today - but I didn't realize it until it was past 9:00pm. Boo. Seriously? I didn't even get email notification! Oh well. I do have another good read that I'm excited to start. It's called the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Literature made available to me by Pasco High ATP.
Alright, well I go help Steven! I will try and update the blog regularly - but no promises. Zai jian!

We'll be thinking of and praying for you guys over these next 10 days. It's going to be an amazing trip and I can't wait to hear what God does and reveals to you.
P.S. I totally want to borrow that scale gadget when we pack for Germany!!! So cool.
Praying for a safe trip and God's revelation as well! So excited for you both! Blessings.
Thanks for your prayers!
Carla - yes, you can borrow it! :-) So far it has been incredibly accurate.
